About ECO EXPO 2012
ECO EXPO is three great shows in one
... an Eco Festival, a Local Food Fair and a Health & Wellness Show
- Up to 100 local organizations and businesses will be showcasing their products and services related to going green, eating local and being healthy.
- They will offer local food tastings, massage treatments, product discounts, demonstrations and more.
- Many of our exhibitors have participated in local eco events for a number of years ... others will be there for the first time.
- For a list of our exhibitors, please click here.
- A series of informative workshops and presentations will take place both days.
- If "information is power" then you'll be feeling the power at ECO EXPO.
- Join our interactive workshops and learn about finding health and balance in your life, how to take environmental action in our community and the importance of wholesome local food.
- The schedule for 2012 will be on the website in April. For our 2011 presentation schedule, click here.
ECO EXPO is an Ottawa-based not-for-profit event:
- Admission is by donation. Parking is free.
- Unlike many other local events, our objective is not to make a profit, but to serve the local community.
- Proceeds from ECO EXPO will be donated to the charity of 'your choice' ... what a concept!
- As you enter you will be asked to choose from a list of three worthy charities.
- Proceeds will be divided and donated accordingly, based upon attendees input.
- We raised $2400 for charity at ECO EXPO 2011.
- Exhibitors will include a number of local not-for-profit organizations.
- ECO EXPO is organized by a group of hard-working local volunteers who care about our community.
- The organizing group is called Ottawa Local Motives which reflects our local roots.

- ECO EXPO is also a celebration of Earth Day in the National Capital Region.
- This year Ottawa almost didn't have an event on Earth Day weekend, but it was saved through local community action.

- Earth Day is celebrated across Canada and all around the world by millions of people.
